Winn Nordstrom
Owner
Winn has been in the door closer business since 1974. From rebuilding old door closers to selling new door hardware, Winn has been involved in supplying the customer with what best fits their needs. In 1983, Winn and his family relocated from Princeton, Illinois to Rockwall, Texas, where they started Gulf States Door Control, Inc, which has been successful to this day. He has been married to his wife, Debra, for over 50 years.
Debra Nordstrom
HR / Payroll
Debra is not only Winn’s wife of over 50 years, but she has also taken care of the company’s Accounting, HR, and Payroll needs since 1983, when GSDC first opened. In recent years, she has changed her role and focuses primarily on HR and Payroll.
Andy Nordstrom
Sales / Production Supervisor
Andy has truly cut his teeth on Kawneer Husky o-rings. Since the age of five, Andy has been around door closers and has grown to be a great asset to GSDC. He truly has an eye for detail, and leads the production department, making sure every order is processed through our facility and shipped in the shortest amount of time, with minimal error. Andy has two beautiful daughters, Dakota and Drew, and is married to Ginny, who has 3 amazing children, for over 2 years.
Chad Nordstrom
Sales / Marketing / IT
Chad has worked for GSDC on and off since high school. One of his early accomplishments was a custom program to print shipping labels, back when Dot Matrix was cool. He also designed our first catalog back when the scanner was still hand-held, and only black and white. After college, Chad worked in the IT world for about 17 years. He came back to help in a Sales and Marketing role in 2014, and has been selling ever since! His wife, Amy, is our amazing office manager. His kids, Anna and Ford, love hanging out and helping around the shop when they can.
Amy Nordstrom
Office Manager
Amy has worked for GSDC since 1996, where she manages the office and assists customers when needed. She also handles accounts receivable and accounts payable. She has been married to Chad for over 25 years, and took some time off in the early 2000s to take care of their two kids, Anna and Ford.
